Are we the right kind of business for this?
Almost certainly, if you're an established construction or built-environment company: a contractor, M&E or specialist contractor, architect or engineer, QS or cost consultant, developer, or a property or facilities operator. What matters more than your type is that work runs through the business: live jobs, documents, the back-office work that piles up between site and office. You don't need clean systems, tidy data or a dedicated tech person to start; messy is normal. Sole operators and trades are not who we work with, and if there isn't enough work flowing through the business yet for AI to pay back, we'll tell you.
Why should we trust you with this?
You see the work before you commit. A full Feasibility Study is published on the Feasibility Study page, every plan and study is reviewed before it leaves Built Logic, and everything is built on accounts in your name, so it stays yours. If we can't see AI paying back for you, we say so before you spend anything.
How are you different from a consultancy or an AI agency?
We start from how your business runs. That means the quotes and proposals that win work, compliance and documentation, the reporting leadership relies on, and the admin that drags across departments and sites. We work out where AI pays for itself in your business, then build only what holds up to that test. No 200-slide decks, no year-long strategy projects.
What does it cost, and what do we actually get?
The AI Action Plan is free and you request it online. The Feasibility Study is £2,000 + VAT. A £500 deposit books it and the £1,500 balance is due when the report is delivered. You can pay by card, invoice or purchase order. The scope, fee and information required are agreed before work starts. You get a written study: the three strongest opportunities, the first thing to build, the rough cost and payback of each, and where a person still needs to sign things off. Training and a clearly defined build can be scoped straight away, without a study.
What does working with you actually look like, and how much of our time will it take?
Most of the lifting is on us. Early on we need a few focused hours from the right people to understand how the work runs, then short check-ins as each system goes live. We don't set up a standing committee or pull people off live jobs for days. For implementation, we agree the scope and necessary checks before work starts. You stay in control of the pace.
How soon will we see something working?
The delivery date for the study is agreed with you when it is booked, once the requested information has been supplied. Implementation timings depend on the agreed scope, and we confirm them before work starts.
Is our business data safe, and is it used to train AI?
Our commitment is that client data is not used to train AI and client systems are hosted in the UK or EU. We agree and check the tools, access, hosting and controls for the specific engagement before work starts.
Do we own what you build, or are we locked in?
You own it. We build on systems and accounts in your name, so what we build is yours and your data is yours. If we stop working together, your systems keep running. Our aim is to make ourselves optional. Integration connects each build to the tools and working practices your business already uses.
